We're on a 'social mission' in the Cairngorms National Park, Scotland to allow everyone access to Nature and Forest Therapy.
Whether we are admiring natures beauty, breathing in the fresh scents or simply playing amongst it...nature is awesome. Nature heals...welcome to the world of ‘Forest Bathing’ and Shinrin-yoku.
About Forest Bathing...
Also known as Shinrin-yoku which literally translates to "take the atmosphere of the forest" it is the practice of immersing yourself in nature to enhance your health and wellbeing.
No swimsuits required as we are not actually swimming but ‘bathing’ in the awesome goodness that trees release into the atmosphere; reaping the benefits from magic little things called ‘phytoncides’ and receiving mental calmness from the fractal patterns, vibrant shades of green and calming blues around us – what better place to do this than the Cairngorms National Park!
A typical session will be 1 1/2 to 2 hours and you can expect to walk in an unrushed manner (or ‘tree-speed’ as we call it) for up to 1 mile, but likely less.

We also meet on the first Sunday of the month in the Grantown Medical Centre Health Woods at 10:30am. This is a free group, everyone is welcome and no need to book - please just come along. These sessions are funded by the private bookings throughout the year.
